Little Arrows Farm School Schedule And Requirements

School Information and Program Requirements

School Hours of Operation

8:30am - 12:30pm

Monday through Thursday

Class Options

We offer two-day class options:

  • Monday and Wednesday
  • Tuesday and Thursday

School Year

Class will begin in September and our last day will be in June. Please review our calendar tab for all holidays and school closures. 

Age

 Children will need to be at least 3 years old by August 1st of the enrolled school year and no older than 5 years old as of August 1st of the enrolled school year.  

Potty Trained

 All children must be potty trained. Little Arrows Farm School staff will aid in bathroom visits however no diaper or pull-up changes will be offered. We understand accidents happen however, if it becomes a frequent issue a re-evaluation of the child's readiness for farm school will be requested.  

Daily Schedule

8:30 am - 9:00 am: Arrival and getting settled

Arrival and getting settled in class. This time will be used to allow the kids to have free play at our variety of play stations and sensory activity for the day. We give the kids plenty of time to arrive and get settled in their new environment. 

9:00 am - 10:00 am: Morning meeting, quick snack and adventure preparations

We will have a morning meeting where we will go over the information about the day, discuss roles and or which farm chores will be assigned for the day and any news. We will also review our letter and number of the day. The class then will pick one snack to eat before heading out. Lastly, we will then get the class prepared in the necessary clothing and/or gear for going outside. 

10:00 am - 11:00 am: Outdoor Adventure time / Farm Chores

The class will then head out to complete any assigned farm chores (feeding pigs, checking for chicken eggs, making sure the ducks have water, etc.). After farm chores are complete the class will have time to play outside

11:00 am - 11:45 am: Lunch

We will head back in the class to eat lunch. 

11:45 am - 12:15 pm: Adventure time / Activity / Academics

This end of the day time will be used for more outdoor exploration, academic activity, crafts or indoor play depending on the weather.

12:15 pm - 12:30 pm: Clean Up

We will be using the last 15 minutes of our day to ensure our toys have been put away and that everyone helps clean up the classroom before heading home. 

**SCHEDULE WILL VARY**

This schedule may vary depending on the season and how many layers the kids will be wearing. Additionally, as the children become more efficient at getting themselves ready the transitions between these activities will decrease allowing for more adventure time!
